Kingston, Jamaica – May 31, 2025 — The police have launched an urgent investigation into the abduction of Lorna Robertson, popularly known as Nicky, who was forcibly taken by unknown assailants along Old Hope Road in St Andrew early Friday morning.
The incident reportedly occurred at approximately 5:36 a.m., across from the Diabetes Association of Jamaica, near Downer Avenue.
According to investigators, Robertson was ambushed by men travelling in a Honda Stepwagon bearing a fake licence plate. She was then forcibly taken from the scene.
Robertson, a well-known resident of St Andrew South Eastern, is also an election scrutineer for the governing Jamaica Labour Party (JLP). At the time of her abduction, she was last seen wearing a cream blouse and tangerine-coloured shorts.
Law enforcement authorities are urging anyone with information about her whereabouts to contact the police emergency number 119 or the Counter-Terrorism and Organised Crime Investigation Branch (C-TOC) at (876) 922-2374.
The police continue to follow several leads as efforts intensify to locate Robertson and bring those responsible to justice.
