The police have commenced an investigation surrounding the death of a popular vendor, who was shot by armed men, while he was traveling as a passenger on a minibus, along Spanish Town Road, on Tuesday, March 16.
The deceased has been identified as 30-year-old Dennis Nixon, otherwise called ‘Gregory’, a vendor of Kingston address.
A female who was also injured during the attack, remains at hospital in serious but stable condition.
Reports are that about 8:15 am, Nixon was traveling in a bus along Spanish Town road, when armed men opened fire on the vehicle on reaching the vicinity of Delacree Park.
Nixon and the female received gunshot wounds and were rushed to hospital, where he was pronounced dead, and the other victim, treated and admitted
