Update: Four family Members including One female, Shot and Killed in Westmoreland

Jamaica Crime News, Westmoreland: Gunmen went on a shooting spree in the parish of Westmoreland on Thursday morning, November 8, and shot and killed four members of a family in Masemure Housing Scheme in Little London.

Those killed have been identified as Howard Humes, 31-year-old Hotel musician and taxi operator,  his elder brother Paulton Dwight Humes, 33-year-old Farm Worker and his common-law wife Kemeisha Wilson, 25-year-old housekeeper employed to Couples resort in Negril.

Shavaine Humes, 23-year-old nephew of both brothers was the fourth victim that was shot and killed.

5-year-old Paulton Humes Jr, son of the common-law couple was the only occupant that was spared by the gunmen.

The Little London Police reported that about 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, residents living in Masemure community, alerted the police after hearing gunshots being fired from the directions where the Humes family members resided on the scheme.

The lawmen rushed to the scene and upon arrival, they found the main entrance door to all three houses kicked in,  and all four victims suffering from gunshot wounds. The 5-year-old boy was the only remaining survivor.

Our news team also learned that over the past years the Humes family have been targeted by gunmen.
Community members, family and close friends of all four victims expressed their shock at the gruesome quadruple murder, which they say is the first of its kind in the community.

Pheona Malcolm-Campbell, mother of the slain woman,  could barely find words to explain how her daughter was a well-loved citizen, after she broke down in tears.

Kenneth Wilson, who is the father of the slain woman told our news team that he is now very angry, because her daughter was in the wrong place at the wrong time,  because she knows that her boyfriend’s family was being targeted,  so she should not have gone to the house.
