Jamaica Crime News: The Clarendon police are asking members of the public for their assistance to identify a man, who was shot and killed during a confrontation with the police on Monday, September 23.
The police say an illegal firearm and several rounds of ammunition were taken from the dead man.
Reports by the police are that on Monday afternoon, a team of officers was carrying out an operation at sections of Ebony Park when they went to premises and was fired upon by the unidentified man.
The fire was returned and during the confrontation, the gunman was shot and killed. The scene was visited by investigators attached to the Independent Commission of Investigations.
