A 14-year-old girl was left unconscious after she was allegedly attacked by two 16-year-old siblings aboard a bus in Spanish Town, St Catherine.
The teenagers have been charged with assault occasioning grievous bodily harm and unlawful wounding. Their names have been withheld because they are minors.
Police reports indicate that around 4 p.m. Monday, the girl was travelling on a Toyota Coaster bus at the Spanish Town bus park along Burke Road when an argument reportedly developed between her and one of the accused.
The teenager allegedly accused the girl of being “loud”, sparking a dispute that reportedly escalated into a physical attack.
Police allege that both siblings punched the girl repeatedly about her body.
During the assault, she reportedly suffered a fractured nose and collapsed, becoming unconscious.
She was taken to Spanish Town General Hospital, where she was treated for her injuries.
The accused were later taken into custody in the presence of a parent. A court date is being finalised.
