Two Suspect Held in Connection with Shooting and Wounding of St Ann Businessman 

Remains found buried under concrete identified as man missing since 2015

Jamaica Crime News, St Ann: Two men have been taken into custody for questioning in connection with the shooting and wounding of a businessman in the parish of St Ann on Tuesday, April 24.

The police have reported that the 54-year-old businessman of a Run-Away Bay address is presently still at hospital in stable condition.

Reports by the police are that about 5:00 a.m. on Tuesday, the victim went jogging from his house in Run-Away Bay. The couple returned home about an hour later where they were ambushed by two men armed with handguns.

The gunmen fired at the couple who ran in separate directions to avoid being killed. The armed men chased the businessman and fired at him repeatedly and one of the bullets caught him in the regions of his lower body.

The gunmen then escaped in the area on foot, while the police were summoned and upon arrival, the wounded man was transported to hospital where he was treated and admitted.
