The Barrett Town police in St James are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a woman and a family friend, who were shot dead by gunmen at a house in Lilliput community on Thursday, June 15.
The deceased has been identified as 63-year-old Vernice Blackwood and her son, 28-year-old Romario Bromfield, a music producer, and both of Randall Hill in Lilliput, St James.
Reports are that about 6:10pm, residents alerted the police after hearing gunshots coming from the directions of their home.
On arrival of the lawmen, Blackwood was discovered shot to death on her verandah, Her son was found lying in a pool of blood with multiple gunshot wound behind the house.
The scene was processed and both bodies removed.
