Jamaica Crime News: Two Shot and Killed in Montego Bay – A male and a female chef, both of Norwood addresses were shot and killed by gunmen while at their business place at the intersection of middle and top road in Paradise Norwood, on Friday afternoon, February 22.
Dead are 49-year-old Assard Facey, chef of Church Lane and 45-year-old Mitchell Salomon, female chef of Hollywood, both in Norwood.
Reports by the Montego Hills police are that about 4:25 p.m., on Friday Facey and Salomon were at a Cookshop which they operate at the intersection of Top and Middle Road in Norwood.
One man armed with a handgun ran inside the establishment and opened fire hitting both occupants. The gunman then made his escape in the area on foot.
The police were summoned and upon their arrival, they discovered that Facey was killed on the spot, while Salomon was rushed to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where she died whilst being treated.
