Two Men Sought in St Andrew Shooting That Killed Soldier

St Andrew — Police are seeking two men, known as “Kim” and “Diddy,” in connection with a shooting that left 24-year-old Private Daniel Crawford dead and an off-duty policeman injured on Tuesday night near Waltham Park Road.

Authorities say the suspects are linked to the Boyne’s Road and Kid Lane areas and are urging them to turn themselves in at the Hunts Bay Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB).

Reports indicate Crawford and the policeman were off duty when their vehicle developed mechanical issues in the Stephen Lane area. The officer came under gunfire and returned fire, while Crawford was later found dead on the roadway and pronounced deceased at hospital.

Assistant Commissioner Michael Phipps said the police are acting swiftly to bring those responsible to justice. Investigators are appealing to anyone with information to contact the Hunts Bay CIB or the nearest station.
