Two Jamaican Men Wanted In Connection To Trinidad Theft Ring

The Trinidadian Police is currently seeking out two Jamaican men among a group of three persons that have been accused of being a part of a theft ring that has had their operations In several Trinidad communities.

Based on information published via the Guardian Newspaper out of Trinidad the investigations into the theft ring were started based on the death of 24-year-old Dillon Straughn, a labourer from Perseverance village in Carapichaima who was said to have been shot and killed by a resident of Bank Village who caught him stealing cables.

According to the reports approximately 4:30 a.m on Saturday, a group of persons were seen by residents trying to steal some cables on Waterloo Road of Bank Village and was told to desist from doing so but was allegedly threatened in return which caused one of the community members to shoot at them, which led to Straughn being hit and two teenagers accompanying him injured from gunshot wounds.

It is understood that after the incident unfolded the man driving the car who is believed to be a Jamaican left the scene with other suspects. As for the persons responsible for the scheme, the Police have given information that the theft ring is being controlled by two Jamaican men, one who owns a car wash and the other who is said to be involved in the scrap iron business.

These men according to the released Police report are believed to hold information that can lead to a greater knowledge of the cable theft ring that has been plaguing communities on the island.
