St James, Jamaica (Mckoy’s News) – Two Cambridge Men Murdered: A taxi operator and a farmer were shot and killed hours apart in Cambridge policing area on Friday evening, December 29, 2017.

Both victims have been identified as, 52-year-old Lascell Warlock,  taxi-operator of Retrieve District and 68-year-old Wilfred Josephs, a farmer of Mother Lane in Cambridge.

The police reported that about 3:00 pm on Friday, Warlock was transporting two passengers from Cambridge to Retrieve. On reaching a section of the roadway which is laden with potholes, Warlock came to a halt to venture through when one man armed with a rifle jumped from the bushes and he was forced to stop.

The gunman then robbed the driver and the occupants of cash, jewellery and other valuables. While in the process of leaving the scene, the gunman fired one shot hitting Warlock in the regions of his head, killing him on the spot.

The police were summoned and while processing the scene they overheard a barrage of gunshots being fired at another section of the area.

About an hour later at 4:00 pm, they were alerted to Mother Lane where the second victim Wilfred Josephs was discovered lying along the roadway in a pool of blood with multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body.

Both victims were transported to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where they were pronounced dead.
