Westmoreland, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Two Armed Supermarket Robbers Shot: The police in Savanna-la-mar, Westmoreland have reported that two armed men who held up and robbed a supermarket in the same place on Sunday afternoon were shot and killed by a licensed firearm holder. According to the police, both robbers still remain unidentified up to Monday morning.

Reports by the police are that shortly after 1:00 p.m. on December 17, 2017, the two unidentified men entered the Earth and Ocean Supermarket located along Great Georges Street and held several shoppers and the business operators at gunpoint. A licensed firearm holder who was in the supermarket challenged the men in a shootout and both armed robbers ran from the supermarket while still firing at the shoppers.

The police were then summoned and on arrival, they carried out a search in the area and stumbled upon the bodies of both men along Crook and Dalling Streets. They were both taken to the Savanna-la-mar hospital where they were pronounced dead. The investigators pointed out that a 9mm semi-automatic pistol containing one live round, a black purse containing an undetermined sum of money and cell phones belonging to the shoppers were found with the men.
