Truck driver fatally strikes NYC grandmother pushing stroller, toddler miraculously escapes with only scrapes, bruises

A 66-year-old woman was killed when the driver of a pickup truck rammed into her as she pushed her toddler granddaughter in a stroller in a Brooklyn crosswalk on Tuesday afternoon, police said.

The 2-year-old girl miraculously suffered only scrapes and bruises as a result of the 1:10 p.m. crash in Bath Beach that left her grandmother mortally wounded, authorities said.

The grandmother, who was not immediately identified, was crossing 25th Avenue when a Dodge Ram made a turn onto Bath Avenue and struck her, cops said.

She suffered head trauma and was brought to NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn, but could not be saved, authorities said.
