Investigators in the parish of Trelawny have now released the name of the  Person of Interest who is being sought in connection with the murder of a female farmer in Clarkes Town, Trelawny, on Thursday, February 15.

The police say Clinton Davis otherwise called ” country ” is now being sought in connection with the murder of 59-year-old Valerie Thompson, otherwise called ” Ms. P” of Panasus district also in Clarkes Town.

Davis who hails from Top Trelawny is said to have fled the parish following the murder, and the police say they believe he is hiding out in Darliston and Lincoln Bigwood areas of Westmoreland.

Reports by the Clarkes Town police are that about 8:30 a.m., on Thursday Thompson left her home to visit her farm which is located at a section of Clarkes Town known as Hampshire. When she did not return home that afternoon her daughter Kamara Thompson, got worried and alerted her other adopted sister

Both girls set out in search of their mother, but after calling her cellular phone several times and visiting her farm, they still could not locate her.

About 8:30 p.m., that night two of their male cousins joined in the search and that was when the gruesome discovery was made.

Thompson’s body was discovered partially hidden by bushes on a section of her farm, the body which had multiple chop wounds, was in the nude with several of her fingers and her head chopped off.
