Jamaica Crime News, Trelawny: The Falmouth police have taken one man into custody, in connection with the seizure of an illegal firearm and several rounds of ammunition, in Jackson Town, Trelawny, on Saturday morning, June 8.
The name of the accused is being withheld pending further investigations.
Reports by the police are that, shortly after 5:30 a.m. on Saturday, a joint military team carried out an operation at a house in Jackson Town community.
During the operation, a house occupied by the accused man was searched, and a Star Arm Rockage FL 9-mm semi-automatic pistol, fitted with a magazine containing eight live rounds of ammunition, was seized.
The accused was immediately taken into custody.
