Bunker’s Hill, Trelawny (Mckoy’s News) – Pastor Charged with Buggery: the church in Jamaica face the burden of explaining what is going on with their pastors, as several Jamaican pastors have recently been arrested on sex with a minor charges. Bunker’s Hill New Testament Church of God Pastor, Reverend Presley Smith is now the latest to be arrested and charged on May 5, 2017 with acts of sexual offence against a 15-year-old boy.
Reports are that 27-year-old Rev. Presley Smith, who his congregation say have been the Lead Pastor of the church for two years now, allegedly had several sexual relations to with a 15-year-old male student between January of 2016 – January 2017. Smith, who hails from the parish of Kingston, currently rents a home in the rural Bunker’s Hill, Trelawny, near where New Testament Church he leads . The 15-year-old boy is a native of Bunker’s Hill but now lives with his parents in Montego Bay, St. James.
Pastor, Rev. Smith was arrested and charged with buggery, gross indecency, and grievous sexual assault charges on the 15-year-old boy. Investigations by the Center for Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse (CISOCA) began when the boy’s parents found “certain materials” on his laptop computer in April and reported it to the CISOCA office in Montego Bay; Smith was contacted and interviewed there, then on May 3, Smith turned himself into the CISCOCA office in Kingston, where he was transferred to Trelawny, locked-up and charged with the sexual offence charges.
It is alleged that the Trelawny pastor charged with buggery committed that sexual acts on the 15-year-old boy at his rented house in Bunker’s Hill, Trelawny.
Pastor Presley Smith is scheduled to appear in court later this week to face his charges.
