Times Square Crash Kills One, Injured 22

New York, USA – (Mckoy’s News) – Times Square Crash: Eyewitness states that a red Honda Accord jumped the sidewalk of busy street in Times Square, New York City, plowing into a mass of people, striking 23 persons.

A young woman is reported dead and 22 others injured.

According to the New York City Police Department, the incident, which occurred around 12 p.m eastern time, does not seem to be a terrorist attack.

The driver of the red Honda Accord used to mow down persons in Time Square is identified as, 26-year-old Bronx-resident Richard Rojas, a U.S. citizen and Navy veteran with multiple DWI criminal history.

Another witness stated that before the car crashed, it came down the busy streets of Time Square with speed of what seemed like 80-90 miles/Hr.

The witness said that the Honda Accord flipped onto the sidewalk and later burst into fire.  The New York City Police and Fire Department was quick on the scene.

The driver began fleeing on foot after the incident but was caught by residents and the police.
