Three men who the St James police say were on top of the list of most wanted men in the parish, and also on Jamaica’s most wanted list, were fatally shot by members of a joint military/police team during a confrontation in Barrett Town, St James, on Saturday.
The slain gunmen have been identified as Nesta ‘Zaddo’ Gallimore, and his two henchmen, Jevon and Jevan Henry.
Reports by the police are that about 3:00pm, member of the security forces conducted a target operation in Barrett Town community, in search of Gallimore and his cronies.
The lawmen went to a house in the area and were fired upon by the three wanted men.
The fire was returned and a heated gun battle lasting for over an hour, escalated to a section of the area know as Compound, which is located on the border of Barrett Town and Spot Valley.
The three gunmen were fatally shot during the confrontation, and three illegal firearms taken from them.
Gallimore and his two cronies were taken to hospital where they were pronounced dead.
