ST. MARY, Jamaica – Three people were injured in a single-vehicle accident that occurred on the Stewart Town main road in St. Mary this morning.
The incident took place around 6:00 am when a white Toyota Mark X motor car, traveling from Port Maria towards Ocho Rios, lost control near the Emerald Estate housing scheme. The vehicle subsequently collided with a tree.
The driver of the vehicle fled the scene following the crash. The injured passengers were transported to the St. Ann’s Bay Hospital for medical treatment.
The St. Mary Police Traffic Department is currently investigating the incident and searching for the driver.
