Teenager Charged with Murder of Construction Worker and Wounding of Female in Kingston

Latest Jamaica News, Kingston (McKoy’s News): Teenager Charged with Murder of Construction Worker A teenager has been arrested and charged in connection with the Thursday, May 9, 2019 murder of 31-year-old Richard Rhoden, otherwise called “Anthony” construction worker of West Bay Farm Road, Kingston 11, and the shooting and wounding of a female at a business establishment, in the community.

He is 18-year-old Joseph Carter, otherwise called “Bully” labourer of Grandison Park, also in the parish.

Reports are that about 8:50 p.m., on May 9, Rhoden and the female were at the business establishment when they were ambushed, allegedly by Carter, who brandished a handgun opened fire hitting them both to their upper bodies.

The gunman fled the scene and the police were summoned, both victims were rushed to hospital and Rhoden pronounced dead.

The teenage accused was picked up during an operation carried out in the area on Wednesday September 18, and Charged with murder, shooting with Intent and illegal possession of firearm and ammunition, earlier this week.
