Jamaica Crime News, St Catherine: The St Catherine North police arrested a teenage girl on Tuesday night, February 19, after she was found with a 9-mm semi-automatic pistol in her bag in Spanish Town.
The identity of the teenage girl is being withheld pending further investigation.
Reports by the Spanish Town police are that about 11:45 p.m., on Tuesday, a team of officers were on patrol along Wellington Street in Spanish Town, when they saw the teen.
Upon seeing the police the female started to act in a suspicious manner which arose the suspicions of the lawmen.
The teenager was held and her bag searched, which led to the discovery of a Browning 9mm semi-automatic pistol.
