Kingston, Jamaica – A 17-year-old student from Penn Street, Kingston 12, has been formally charged with the murder of two men in a brazen daylight shooting at a bar in downtown Kingston.
The incident, which took place on July 28, resulted in the deaths of 64-year-old Carlyle Lions, also known as “Jungle,” and 62-year-old Trevor Collins, known locally as “Cow Age.”
According to police reports, the shooting occurred around 1:50 p.m., when the two men were inside the bar. The teenager allegedly entered the establishment and opened fire on both victims, who sustained critical injuries. Despite efforts to save their lives, both men later succumbed to their injuries at the hospital.
The teen has also been charged with possession of a prohibited weapon, unauthorized possession of ammunition, and using a firearm to commit a felony. These charges reflect the severity of the crime, which has shocked the local community.
The accused was apprehended following an investigation and was positively identified by witnesses during an identification parade. His court date is pending as the legal process unfolds.
