Jamaica Crime News, St James: 56-year-old Lewey Ferguson, taxi operator who resided at Marcus Garvey Drive (Baruit) in Rose Heights, St James, was found murdered in his bed at his home in Rose Heights on Monday afternoon, November 5.

Reports by the police are that Ferguson was last seen by residents in the community on Sunday, November 4 and a number of his friends got rather concerned.

About 5:00 p.m. on Monday,  one of his close friends went to his 3-apartment board structured dwelling house in search of him. On reaching the premises, the friend called out to him, but no one answered.

He then peeped through the kitchen window and saw Ferguson lying motionless in bed.  An alarm was raised and the police were summoned.

Upon their arrival, they forced their way inside the house and discovered Ferguson lying in bed, with a single gunshot wound to his head.

His trousers pockets were turned out, the dresser drawers pulled out and the house ransacked.

The scene was processed and the victim transported to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
