St Catherine, Jamaica: Taxi Driver Killed – An unidentified taxi driver was fatally shot, and three passengers were injured by a man posing as a passenger in Linstead, St Catherine, on Tuesday night.
According to reports from the Spanish Town police, around 10:15 pm, the taxi driver was transporting passengers along Kings Street when one passenger requested a stop. Upon pulling over, the passenger brandished a handgun and opened fire, hitting the driver and three other passengers.
The assailant fled the scene on foot. Police arrived shortly after, and the wounded were rushed to the Spanish Town hospital. Sadly, the taxi driver succumbed to his injuries, while the other three victims were treated and admitted for further care.
