Female Scuba Diving Instructor Drown in Negril

Jamaica News, Westmoreland: A 69-year-old Scuba diving instructor lost her life by drowning in the sea, in Negril, Westmoreland on Monday, February 11.

She has been identified as Martine Cuggia, of Baul Labelle, St Therese in Canada and West End in Negril, Westmoreland.

Reports by the Negril police are that about 12:00-noon on Monday, Cuggia was conducting a scuba diving lesson in the sea, when she reportedly got into difficulties and drown.

The police were summoned and Cuggia’s body was fished from the water, and she was pronounced dead at hospital.
