Latest Jamaica News, St Mary (McKoy’s News): The woman who dumped her baby in a pit latrine in Cox Piece, St Mary, last week Wednesday, remains hospitalized, and is not yet charged.
According to reports around 8:00 p.m on Wednesday, residents heard cries coming from the toilet, went to investigate and found the baby. The baby was rescued by a member of the community on Thursday morning and taken to the St Ann’s Bay hospital for medical treatment.
It is theorized that the woman gave birth on Wednesday night and then dumped the baby into the latrine
