TRELAWNY, Jamaica – A tragic road accident on the North Coast Highway claimed the life of a 32-year-old St. Mary contractor on Monday morning, marking Trelawny’s first road fatality of the year.
The deceased, Kemar Brown of Harmony Hall, Highgate, died from injuries sustained in a head-on collision with a white 2020 Shacman truck. The accident occurred around 7:20 a.m. near Coopers Pen.
Reports indicate that Brown was driving a Mazda motorcar towards Montego Bay when the crash occurred. He was rushed to the Falmouth Public General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The condition of the truck driver remains unknown, while the Falmouth traffic police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
