St James Police Seize Firearm Ahead of Christmas

ST JAMES, Jamaica — The St James Division is intensifying efforts to remove illegal firearms from the streets ahead of the Christmas season, police say.

SSP Eron Samuels, head of the division, announced the seizure of an M&P rifle and 54 rounds of ammunition during an operation on Joan Lane in Glendevon. He described the confiscation as “a testament to the intelligence apparatus of St James.”

Area One continues to spearhead the Jamaica Constabulary Force’s crime-reduction strategy, working to ensure residents enjoy a peaceful and safe holiday season.

Police are urging residents to remain vigilant and cooperate with law enforcement as the campaign against illegal firearms continues.
