Jamaica Crime News: Detectives at the Freeport police station in Montego Bay, St James, in the parish of St James, say they are now asking members of the public for help to identify the skeletal remains of a male, which was discovered in a  manhole on the compound of an abandoned Basic School  in the vicinity of the SOS Children’s Village in Barrett Town, on Sunday.

Investigators say they are now asking any member of the public who has a family member that was missing for a period to come to the Freeport station.

Reports are that shortly after 5:00 p.m., on Sunday, February 10, a small child was playing on the compound of the abandoned Basic School located at a section of Barrett Town known as Village, when he saw what appeared to be skeletal remains in the large MAN-HOLE.

The child raised an alarm, and residents from the community went to investigate.

After seeing the skeletal remains in the Man-Hole they summoned the police, who visited the scene and later removed the human remains with the help of the St James fire department.

Photo shows a detective from the Freeport station and other personnel at the scene where the skeletal remains were found.
