The St. James police have issued a warrant for the arrest of 29-year-old Andeno Shemar Barnett, wanted in connection with the 2023 murder of 34-year-old Ackeem Robinson, a vendor from Burnt Savanna in St. Elizabeth.
Barnett, also known as ‘Deno,’ is a resident of Kattie Lane in Johns Hall, St. James.
According to detectives from the Freeport police station, on Thursday, November 23, 2023, around 2:20 pm, Barnett and another man, Tyrece Hunter, a motorcycle mechanic from Johns Hall, rode to a section of Fustic Road in Montego Bay, where Robinson was seated by the roadside.
Barnett, riding as the pillion, brandished a handgun and fired multiple shots at Robinson before fleeing the scene on the motorcycle.
Robinson succumbed to his injuries at the scene, while Hunter was apprehended on March 4 and charged with murder.
Barnett remains at large and is currently wanted by law enforcement. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to contact Police Emergency 119, Crime Stop, or the nearest police station.
