St James, Jamaica: Dwight Henry, a shop owner from St James, was fined a total of $681,600 after pleading guilty to multiple drug-related charges in the St James Parish Court last Wednesday.
The charges stemmed from a July 8 raid by law enforcement officials on Henry’s shop in Flanker, where they discovered eight pounds of loose marijuana, 40 grams of cocaine, and 20 grams of hash oil.
Henry was fined $200,000 or three months in jail for cocaine possession, and $400,000 or three months in jail for dealing in cocaine. Additionally, he faced fines of $27,200 or 30 days in jail for ganja possession, and $54,400 or two months in jail for dealing in ganja.
Henry, represented by attorney Henry McCurdy, was admonished and discharged on an additional charge of dealing in ganja.
