St James Duo Arrested and Charged with Lottery Scamming

Jamaica Crime News, St James: St James Duo Arrested  – A court date is yet to be finalised for two St. James men, who were arrested and charged for breaching the Law Reform (Fraudulent Transactions) (Special Provisions) Act, following an operation carried out by Members of the Lottery Scam Task Force in Norwood, St. James on Tuesday, May 14.

Charged with possession of identity information is 27-year-old Sheldon Colquhoun, otherwise called ‘Shoppy’ of Blood Lane, and 26-year-old Nasville Prince Reynolds, otherwise called ‘Jassy’ an electrician of Hendon Norwood, both in St. James.

According to information received from the Lottery Scam Task Force, the search was carried out at the men’s home between the hours of 11:50 a.m. and 1:55 p.m.

The police say during a search of Colquhoun’s premises numerous Microsoft, PDF and Excel files were seen populated with names, addresses, and telephone numbers of persons living overseas.

During a search of Reynold’s premises, a white iphone 6s was found. It was analyzed and found to contain evidence of probative value.

The men were arrested and charged.

Their court date will be announced at a later date.
