Montego Bay, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – St James Deadly Attack: As the cold-hearted gunmen continue to reign down terror and mayhem on the parish of St James, more families in the second city were sent in mourning once again.
The heartless killers struck in Providence Heights on Wednesday night, this time shooting six community members including a 9-year-old boy and an elderly female shopkeeper. Two of the victims have been confirmed dead so far.
The dead victims have been identified as O’Neil Gibbs, otherwise called ( Hitta), a popular 24-year-old footballer and Tevin Campbell 25-year-old laborer both of Providence Heights.
The four injured are; a 9-year-old student, a 46-year-old female shopkeeper, a 33-year-old male and another 20-year-old male.
Reports are that , shortly after 8:30 pm on Wednesday, all six were at a shop operated by the female located along Nesberry Place in Providence Heights.
Minutes later they were ambushed by two mask men, armed with high-powered weapons, who opened fire hitting all six.
The men escape in the area on foot.
The Coral Gardens and Freeport police were alerted. Upon arrival, all six were transported to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where Gibbs and Campbell were pronounced dead. The other four victims admitted to hospital in critical conditions.
The police have now commenced a full-scale operation into this latest double murder.
