Goshen, St. Elizabeth — Police in St. Elizabeth have launched an investigation into the death of a man who was discovered early Wednesday morning along the Goshen main road, in what authorities suspect to be a hit-and-run incident.
The deceased, whose identity is yet to be confirmed, is described as having a dark brown complexion, slim build, and approximately 5 feet 4 inches in height. At the time of discovery, the man was dressed in a white T-shirt, short black jeans, and black sneakers.
According to reports from the Santa Cruz Police, the incident came to their attention around 3:12 a.m., when local residents discovered the body lying face down on the roadside and contacted authorities. Officers arriving on the scene noted visible injuries to the man’s head and hand, consistent with the trauma of a vehicular collision.
After processing the scene, the body was removed and taken to the morgue for further examination. Police are currently seeking to identify the man and are appealing to anyone with information about the incident or the victim to come forward.
