Jamaica Crime News, St Elizabeth: A heated conflict between a 26-year-old man and a 25-year-old man at a dance. which was being held in Warminister district in St Elizabeth on Saturday night, December 8, resulted in one of the men being stabbed almost to death and the other being sought by the police.
Reports by the Nain police are that shortly after 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, both men were among a group of patrons at a dance being held in the community, when an argument developed between them over a female.
The 25-year-old man who hails from the community of Nouke, reportedly brandished a knife, which he used to inflict several stab wounds to the older man.
Upon seeing what was taking place, several angry residents attacked the accused who managed to run from the scene and escape in nearby bushes.

The angry mob then set his motorcycle on fire.
The police were summoned and upon their arrival, the wounded man was transported to hospital, where he was admitted.
The accused man is presently on the run.
