ST CATHERINE, Jamaica — A woman lost her life and her daughter sustained injuries following a violent incident at their residence in Braeton, Portmore, on Tuesday morning.
Reports indicate that the attack occurred shortly after 9:00 a.m. at the family’s home. The assailant is believed to be a man said to be of unsound mind.
During the confrontation, the mother was fatally wounded, while her daughter was injured and later transported to hospital for treatment.
The suspect reportedly fled the scene but was subsequently apprehended by residents in the community.
Police responded to the location and have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
