St Catherine, Jamaica – Police investigators assigned to the St Catherine North Division have launched a probe into a case of suspected suicide following the discovery of a man’s body in the parish on Tuesday, July 2.
The deceased has been identified as 47-year-old Garfield Miller, a tradesman of the Charlemont Housing Scheme in St Catherine.
Reports are that about 11:30 a.m., passersby stumbled upon Miller’s body hanging inside a workshop he operated and alerted the police.
Upon arrival, lawmen found Miller’s body suspended by the neck with a piece of cord tied to the roof of the structure.
The scene was processed by detectives, and the body was removed to the morgue pending a post-mortem examination.
Investigations are ongoing.
