St Catherine Police Seeking Public Help To Apprehend Man Wanted For Chopping Murder

The St Catherine North police say they are now asking members of the public for their assistance to apprehend a man who is wanted for the chopping death of another man in the parish on Saturday, April 28th

The wanted man has been identified as Alvin Messam otherwise called (Kevin), 35-year-old, a construction worker of McGregor Lane in Spanish Town and he is being sought for the murder of Clarence Clarke, 44-year-old, of White Water Meadows also in St Catherine

Reports by the police are that, shortly after 9:15 pm, on Saturday Clarke, went to look for his girlfriend who is also the baby mother of the accused.

While at the house an argument developed between Clarke and Messam who also came to the house and start cursing when he saw the deceased.

Clarke later left the house and while walking along a section of Whitewater Boulevard, he was attacked and chopped several times to death by Messam who was armed with a machete. Messam later fled the scene and has been in hiding since.

The police were summoned and upon arrival, the wounded man was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
