St Catherine Police Killed Two Gunmen During Gun Battle

St. Catherine, Jamaica (Mckoy’s News) – St Catherine Police Killed Two Gunmen: two unidentified men are now dead following a shootout with police in St. Catherine on Monday, June 26. Two 9 mm pistols were recovered from the men after the shooting.
Police report that two men were fatally shot by a police operation along Hill Run Main Road, St. Catherine when they fired upon the police and pursued a gun battle.
Mckoy’s News team received reports that at about 8 :15 pm on June 26, a police party was on patrol in the vicinity of the end of the toll road, along Hill Run Main Road when they signaled a grey Suzuki Swift motorcar to stop. Two then men reportedly alighted from the vehicle and opened gunfire on the police. The police returned fire.
After the shooting subsided the men were found suffering from gunshot wounds, each clutching a 9 mm hand gun. They were taken to the Spanish Town hospital where they were pronounced dead.
INDECOM investigation is expected to follow.
