A St Catherine-based clergyman is facing fraud-related charges following allegations that he collected over US$12,000 for a motor vehicle that was never handed over to the buyer.
The accused, Sean Green, a 57-year-old resident of Oakwood Terrace in Wedgewood Gardens, Spanish Town, has been charged with fraudulent conversion and failing to deliver goods and services within the agreed timeframe, according to police.
Law enforcement reports from Spanish Town indicate that the complainant paid approximately US$12,132 for a 2010 Isuzu motor truck. The vehicle was reportedly scheduled for delivery in November 2025.
However, investigators allege that the truck was never provided and the payment was not returned, leading the buyer to file a report with the authorities. This ultimately resulted in Green’s arrest and subsequent charges.
Green is expected to appear before the St Catherine Parish Court on Tuesday, May 19, where the matter will be addressed.
