St Ann Mason Charged with Multiple Offenses

St Ann Mason Charged: A 27-year-old resident of Winsdor Road in St. Ann’s Bay, identified as Nicoy Fowler, is facing a series of charges in connection with an incident that transpired in his community on Sunday, June 18, 2023.

Fowler has been accused of multiple offenses, including Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, Unauthorized Possession of Ammunition, Shooting with Intent, Wounding with Intent, and Using a Prohibited Weapon to Commit a Felony.

According to reports from the St. Ann’s Bay Police, around 12:30 p.m. on the specified date, Fowler approached a man at his residence while armed with a handgun. Allegedly, he pointed the weapon at the man and discharged it. In an attempt to evade harm, the man fled but then confronted Fowler with a fish gun. This prompted Fowler to retreat, and as the man pursued him, a struggle ensued.

During the altercation, a woman intervened, using a machete to inflict chop wounds on the man’s hands. A third individual joined the altercation, using a handgun to strike the complainant’s head multiple times, causing injuries.

Eventually, the injured man was rescued and taken to the hospital, where he received treatment and was subsequently released. A formal report was lodged with the police, leading to an investigation into the matter.

Fowler was apprehended on Monday, January 29, and following a question-and-answer session, he was officially charged the next day. The scheduling of his court date is currently underway.
