The St Ann police are awaiting a post-mortem examination to determine the cause of death of a man whose partially decomposing body was discovered inside his house in Discovery Bay, St Ann, on Saturday.
The deceased has been identified as 32-year-old O’Neil Richards, of Bellaire Meadows in Discovery Bay, St Ann.
Reports indicate that around 8:15 am on Saturday, Richards was not seen in his yard as usual, which raised concerns among residents after they noticed a foul odor emanating from his house.
Police were summoned, and upon arrival, they had to force their way into the dwelling where they made the gruesome discovery of Richards’ body lying face down on the bed.
The body, which was in a state of decomposition, was removed and transported to the hospital for a post-mortem examination.
