ST ANN, JAMAICA — Police in St Ann are on the hunt for the driver involved in a deadly hit-and-run that claimed the life of a local man early Sunday morning.
The victim has been identified as 35-year-old Damian Carr, also known as “Turks,” a labourer from the Windsor district near St Ann’s Bay.
According to reports, Carr was walking along the AGR Byfield Highway around 5:25 a.m. when he was struck by an unidentified vehicle. The driver failed to stop at the scene, leaving Carr critically injured.
Emergency services transported Carr to the St Ann’s Bay Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The Traffic Department in St Ann’s Bay has since launched a full investigation into the incident. Authorities are urging anyone with information about the vehicle or driver involved to come forward
