St Andrew Woman Charged After Caught Attempting to Smuggle Ganja Into St Thomas Police Station

Jamaica News: A St Andrew woman was arrested and charged after trying to smuggle ganja to a prisoner while visiting her relative at the Morant Bay Police Station on Sunday was arrested and charged by the St Thomas Police.


She is identified as Donna Brown, who is of a Waltham Park Road address. It is reported that Brown brought a pair of slippers for her brother who is jailed at the Police Station.


She was reportedly acted in a suspicion in a suspicious manner and approached by officers. They requested for search inside her bag.


The police say further checks revealed that the slippers were stuffed with ganja, cigarettes and tobacco.


Brown, who was arrested and charged, was later offered station bail and is to appear before the St Thomas Parish Court in Morant Bay on November 13.
