St Catherine, Jamaica: Two men from Spanish Town have each been fined $50,000 after pleading guilty to urinating in a public place.
Othniel Jobson and Oshane Simpson appeared before Parish Court Judge Genetta Smikle in the St Catherine Parish Court on Tuesday, where they pleaded guilty to littering in a public place under Section 46 of the National Solid Waste Management Agency Act.
The court heard that the men were arrested by police on August 14 after they were allegedly seen urinating along sections of Burke Road in Spanish Town.
They were each fined $50,000 or 30 days in prison.
The men were also warned that littering in public spaces is a serious offence and cautioned against repeating the behaviour.
