St Catherine, Jamaica – Social media personality Milton Wray, more popularly known as “119”, is set to stand trial in the St Catherine Parish Court on November 7, following damning allegations of malicious communication stemming from a series of controversial social media posts.
“This is no laughing matter—these are very serious allegations,” warned Senior Parish Court Judge Desiree Alleyne, addressing Wray directly during his latest court appearance.
The charges stem from an incident that allegedly began on March 22, when Wray and the female complainant attended an entertainment event together. According to reports, Wray later invited the woman to his home, but she refused. Things allegedly took a sharp turn on March 29, when Wray reportedly threatened to disgrace her.
The court was told that on March 30, the accused followed through—posting her photograph online accompanied by allegedly defamatory remarks.
The matter was swiftly reported to police, prompting an investigation by the Spanish Town Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB). The probe led to Wray’s arrest and formal charges under the Cybercrimes Act for malicious communication.
Judge Alleyne further ordered that the offending content be deleted from Wray’s mobile phone, prompting police to take him briefly into custody to ensure the directive was carried out. He was subsequently released.
As the case heads to trial, prosecutors have been instructed to disclose all relevant evidence to Wray’s attorney, Venice Brown, by September 1.
Wray, who has denied the allegations, remains out on $400,000 station bail with one surety
