MONTEGO BAY, St James (McKoy’s News) — Dancehall star Skeng brought the curtains down on Festival Night One at Reggae Sumfest 2025 with a fiery and unforgettable set at Catherine Hall in Montego Bay on Friday night.
The young hitmaker, known for his edgy lyrics and raw energy, had the thousands in attendance hanging on to his every word as he delivered hit after hit, closing the night with unmatched vibes and intensity.
Dressed in a bold, all-black ensemble with his signature neon-green hair catching the lights, Skeng stormed the stage just after 1 a.m., kicking things off with the fan-favourite “Gvnman Shift.” He then ran through his catalogue with tracks like “Protocol,” “Talibhan,” “London,” and “Elvis Presley,” sending the massive crowd into a frenzy.
“Big up everybody who forward fi di real dancehall! Nuh care who seh wah, we deh yah fi run dis place!” Skeng shouted as the crowd erupted in cheers.
The performance was electrifying from start to finish, with audience members waving flags, phones flashing, and voices raised as they sang along to every lyric.
Skeng’s set capped off an all-star lineup that featured Shaneil Muir, Masicka, Govana, Vybz Kartel, and others on a night that celebrated the best of dancehall and reggae culture.
