Relatives of 14-year-old Kimoya Gordon and 10-year-old Recali Smith are urgently appealing for assistance in locating the siblings, who reportedly went missing during Sunday’s Christmas tree lighting ceremony in Montego Bay, St James.
The children were attending the annual event in Sam Sharpe Square with their grandmother when they disappeared. According to their mother, Daneil Tennant, the grandmother had decided to leave the crowded event early, but the children insisted they were not ready to go. It was during the process of navigating through the crowd toward the bus stop that the grandmother reportedly lost sight of them.
A report has since been filed at the Montego Hills Police Station.
Kimoya, a student at Holland High School in Hanover, was last seen wearing a blue spaghetti-strap crocheted top, blue ripped jeans, and black Crocs. Recali, who attends Chetwood Primary School in St James, was last seen in a white T-shirt, cut-off jeans, and grey and white sneakers.
Family members have been attempting to reach Recali via his cellular phone but have been unsuccessful. The police have also attempted to contact the phone without success.
Authorities are asking anyone with information on the whereabouts of Kimoya Gordon and Recali Smith to contact the Montego Hills Police Station, 119, or the nearest police station.
