Senior Electrician Killed in St Catherine Crash

A senior electrician from the parish of St Catherine, lost his life in a motor vehicle accident along a section of Point Hill main road in the parish on Sunday, June 4.

The deceased has been identified as 66-year-old Leon Green, of Old Works district also in St Catherine.

Reports are that about 4:30pm, Green was travelling as a passenger in a motor vehicle along a section of Water Mount main road.

On reaching a section of Old Road community, the driver swerve to avoid hitting a pothole, lost control of the vehicle and collided into a motor truck which was travelling in the opposite direction.

Both occupants of the motor car and the occupants of the truck sustained injuries and were rushed to hospital, where Green was pronounced dead, and the other victims treated and admitted.
