St Ann, Jamaica — An 86-year-old man was killed yesterday after he was struck by a car while riding his bicycle in Salem, Runaway Bay, St Ann.
The deceased has been identified as Claudius Brown, of Salem, Runaway Bay.
According to reports, about 5:45 p.m., Brown was riding his bicycle along the main road in Salem, and while in the vicinity of a popular restaurant, he was hit by a Toyota Mark X motor car.
Brown was rushed to hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The driver of the Mark X was warned for prosecution.
Investigations are ongoing and being handled by the St Ann Traffic Department.
